Engagement Session Giveaway | Contest

This year, only 57 days into the 365 days we have, I have seen TONS of 'I said YES!" and "I'm getting married!!" in my news feeds. Love is such a wonderful thing, and being able to find that special someone to spend the rest of your life with is SUCH a blessing! So, with that being said, I wanted to give away an engagement session!!! I thought it would be the PERFECT thing to do, since so many people are getting engaged lately!! Sometimes with the planning of a wedding, engagement photos get set on the back burner of all the details, so I'd hopefully like to take the stress off of one lucky couple by giving away a free, full engagement session!

5 years, faster than you think! | Personal

Wednesday evening, Sara and I went out at 5:30pm to shoot what was probably our 30th photo shoot together! 

(Check out the last blog post to see all the photos we took! :) )

It's hard to believe its been 5 years taking photos!!! She has always willing agreed to do whatever it was that I asked, and believe me, I asked her to do some CRAZY things!!! Ha-ha!

But one of the reasons I went back and found this old photo is to see how far I have actually came in this whole 'photography journey'. It may not seem like much to you, but for me I can see a WORLD of difference!!! 

And by NO means am I saying I am any good, or are the best around, because I have SO much more to learn, and I know that! But for being self taught in EVERYTHING I have learned to do with photography, I am extremely proud of myself!!! And I cannot WAIT to learn more!

2013 is my year to fully focus on my photography and learning everything I possibly can!

It's all about having fun and being happy!

Miranda | South Boston 6 Months Session

This little girl is ab-so-lutely the most ADORABLE little girl I've had the pleasure of photographing! 

This family came to me for a newborn/family session about 6 months ago...

And let me tell YOU!! She rocked this session!! It was cold and the wind was blowing like CRAZY!!! She still smiled for me and laughed and stuck that cute little tongue out at me!!

Week 7 | Project 52

And here we go, week 7. I am very proud of myself for taking weekly photos so far.. and 7 doesn't seem like a lot to be proud of but for me, procrastination and NOT sticking to goals I set ... is a very big problem! Ha!

The Story of Nathaniel | Personal

The story of Nathaniel..

This is my only sister's first child. And what a BRAVE women she is! Her and her husband had been trying to get pregnant for a few years now. And believe me, what a rough road to travel. I couldn't imagine going through the things she did, the test, the minor surgeries..everything! They wanted a baby SO bad... 

I'll never forget, last February, I had just gotten out of a play and got the greatest phone call, SHE WAS PREGNANT! I was so happy and SO ready for alll the pictures I would be taking of them and this little bundle of joy!

And of COURSE she was glowing!!!!!!

You never really realize how fast 9 months goes by until someone close to you is pregnant! And I am sure it went even faster for her!

24 Weeks:

STILL glowing <3 <3 <3

I was SO excited to find out the sex of the little jelly bean.. I made sure I told them I would NOT be at work that day because I had to be with my sister to find out! I had been waiting for this moment since the 'call'

My sister knew it was a boy... me and James were guessing girl...

...a BOY!

Happy, Happy, Happy! 

Then came November. His due date was November 28..  I was HOPING he would come a few days earlier on MY birthday, November 23... But he did NOT want to come that early.

So we did one last maternity session.

On came December and he STILL did NOT want to come out! 

So off to the hospital to be induced!

And the time went sooooo sloooowww, with no progress :(

& We waited and texted all the family and friends!

Let me tell you something. Giving birth is NOT easy. I don't have any kids.. but the people that do, know exactly what I am talking about.. Watching my sister go through all of that seriously made me consider NOT ever, EVER having kids either... but she did it. She pulled through after everything from the beginning of trying to get preggo to the hours on hours of labor.. I just hope when I decide to have children I will be at least HALF the mother she has been since day 1, caring for her child and being such a strong women.

Little Nathaniel still didn't want to come out.... So finally on Decemeber 13th she had a C-section and out came the CUTEST baby I have ever ever seen! :)

Week 6 | Project 52

There is nothing more that I love than waffles & cinnamon rolls. EXCEPT cinnamon roll WAFFLES! Ha!

Week 5 | Project 52

I am such a procrastinator!!!!!!!! PLEASE forgive me! I promise you, all of these pictures have been taken, I am just SO slow posting them all!!

This is week 5.

I have been struggling with lots of  things going on in my life for the last couple months. Nothing major, just with my job, school and my passion.. photography. I set this as my background on my phone to remind me to take ONE day at a TIME! It is so EASY to get caught up in the daily motions and little petty things and for me, I LOVE to worry! Haha! Sometimes I think that is my special gift! But worrying is a sin, and God has EVERYTHING in control and what I am doing everyday is EXACTLY what I am supposed to be doing on my 'journey in life' 

Just remember, take one day at a time!

Week 4 | Project 52

My little sparrow! I LOVE LOVE LOVE sparrows! Recently on a weekend getaway with a few close friends we stopped at Cracker Barrel (Which I am DROOLING now because the food was SOOO good!!) & of COURSE us girls had to shop in the 'Old Country Store' because they always have the cutest things! And that is where these little guys came from! (I had to get them in every color they had of course) 

And yes, they are little salt and pepper shakers but who cares?!?

I just thought I would share, because I really love them!
